Smart Mine is a modernized mine operation model that is fully based on advanced digitalization and informatization technologies. Different from traditional mining modes that rely heavily on manual operation and experience judgment, it can actively perceive real-time operational data, automatically analyze various operational indicators, and rapidly process massive information covering mine production, occupational health and safety management, technical support services, and daily logistics support work. The construction and upgrading of smart mines focus on eliminating the pain points of traditional mining such as high safety risks, low operational efficiency and serious resource waste. Ultimately, it aims to achieve four core development goals, namely building a safe mine with zero major accidents, an unmanned mine with intelligent machine replacement, an efficient mine with optimized production procedures, and a clean mine with eco-friendly and sustainable operation.
The complete smart mine system can be scientifically categorized into three core and mutually supportive components: smart production systems, smart occupational health and safety systems, and smart technical support & logistics systems. Each system undertakes independent functional responsibilities and coordinates with each other to form a closed-loop intelligent operation mechanism. With reliable technical performance and mature operational modes, our self-developed smart mine system has achieved large-scale and stable application in multiple mines under Baowu Steel Group in China, accumulating rich practical experience in intelligent mining transformation and providing a reliable intelligent solution for the high-quality development of the domestic mining industry.
