The tundish car is an essential specialized auxiliary device widely applied in continuous steel casting production lines, which is professionally designed for stably supporting, safe transporting, and rapid replacing tundishes during metallurgical operations. Integrating multiple practical and functional modules, this equipment independently features flexible walking, stable lifting, and high-precision fine-tuning capabilities to adapt to diverse working conditions in modern steelmaking workshops. According to different structural layouts and application scenarios, the tundish car is mainly categorized into two mature and commonly used types: cantilever type and portal type, both of which have reliable structural stability and operational durability for long-term industrial operation.
To balance working efficiency and positioning accuracy, the tundish car is fully equipped with dual-speed walking operation modes, including a fast traveling speed of 20 meters per minute for rapid station switching and a slow traveling speed of 1.2 meters per minute for accurate docking. Driven by stable hydraulic transmission mechanisms, the equipment can realize precise vertical position adjustments with a tolerance of ±50mm, while its rated lifting stroke reaches 600mm, ensuring accurate alignment between the tundish and casting equipment. Furthermore, the overall structural design of the tundish car strictly meets the technical standards of submerged gate oxidation-free protection casting, a core process that guarantees the purity of molten steel and improves casting quality. For emergency safety protection and auxiliary operation needs, the device is additionally fitted with a reliable emergency gate valve and a professional steel ladle long nozzle manipulator, which effectively improves the safety, automation level and operational efficiency of the entire continuous casting process.
